Meet the Hygienists
Rachel is a registered dental hygienist at Dansie Hepworth Dental. Rachel grew up in the area and went to high school at Rigby High School. She graduated from Rigby in 2002. She continued her education at Brigham Young University-Idaho where she graduated in 2005 with her associates degree. She married her husband Kendall in 2005 and they moved to Boise where she completed her dental hygiene degree. They moved back to the Rigby area in 2007. Rachel has been working for Dansie Hepworth Dental since 2007. She and her husband have twin girls. Their family enjoys spending time together in the outdoors.
Kim grew up in Shelley, Idaho and graduated from the Idaho State University dental hygiene program in 2006. Kim got married in 2008 and has two little girls. She loves spending free time with her family and going camping, boating, and just being outside. She also enjoys reading and crocheting when she gets a chance.
Sydney grew up in beautiful Mackay, Idaho and attended college at Idaho State on a track and field scholarship; receiving her Bachelors of Science. She met her husband at school and moved to Rigby after graduating. Together they spend most of their time chasing their four kids between sporting events and 4-H projects. They enjoy everything Idaho has to offer and spend as much time as they can in the mountains. Sydney began working for Dansie Hepworth Dental in 2014 and feels there is no better group of people to work with. Outside of work she loves being a mom, cooking, gardening and being outdoors.
M’leigh was born in Rexburg and raised in Caldwell, Idaho. Her favorite memories growing up have involved being outdoors with family camping, fishing, and hunting. She also loves to quilt, especially during the colder months. M’leigh took an interest in the dental field as a young child and enjoys being in the dental environment. She wants to help patients be comfortable and relaxed during their dental visits also.
Amber began her career in dentistry in 1992 as a front then back office dental assistant until she received her degree from Cerritos College Dental Hygiene program, a sister program to the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1998. Amber has completed countless periodontal management and advanced learning courses across the western US including studies in laser dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She has had the privilege of working out of several offices and therefore learning the techniques of several influencing dentists from the San Fernando Valley of Southern California to Bozeman, Montana. Her personal approach to working with patients focuses on building patient trust and confidence in a healthy environment. Amber’s role in our practice is to help you achieve optimum periodontal health. She will educate and provide information to enable you to improve your oral health, thus contributing to the well being of your general health. No matter how long it’s been since your last visit together we’ll get you on the road to health.
Amber resides in Rigby with her husband and 2 sons. They spend their free time on the sidelines of a field or court most days but also enjoy gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
Shanna received her Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from Idaho State University in 1998 and has been in practice ever since. She found her dental home at Dansie Hepworth Dental in 2013 while covering a shift for another hygienist. She immediately fell in love with the upbeat atmosphere and friendly staff and determined that, if a permanent position ever opened for her, she would take it. She happily joined the team a couple years later.
Shanna has spent the majority of her life in nearby Ririe, and is now raising her six children in the home where she was raised. She and her husband enjoy swapping goofy memes as a substitute for the romantic dates of their pre-child years. They have become experts in flexible parenting as they juggle the busyness of a large family with the special needs of their teenage son who has level 3 autism. Shanna loves music, playing the piano, and singing with her family. In her free time, she also plays with yarn - generally in the form of crocheting or knitting.
Working in the Rigby area and serving many community members she has known all her life has been the highlight of Shanna's career. She loves helping all of her patients, but has a special soft spot for those who struggle with dental anxiety or other special needs.
